Uni work - Year 1
In my first year at university we were asked to design and create a level then create a demo using After Effects this is the result, I cant actually remember why I chose to create this as a level, I think that I just started doodling and it sort of created itself.

Uni Work - Year 2
Similar to the first year, we ended Year to with another level but this time bigger and in more detail, so i chose to create a medieval village which later became the inspiration for the currently untitled magic game. This level included a marketplace, a tavern a blacksmith and a dungeon. Each area had their own post process effects and ambient sound.

Random Test - Magic Game
A quick test of a few early features in the untitled magic game.

Online Multiplayer Test
Using a tutorial that I found on YouTube I was able to create a viable online multi player feature. This opened up a whole new avenue of options but mostly new problems, specifically with the blueprints and client replication through remote procedural calls.

Prefab Test
This all came about from one of those "can it be done?" moments. Using Blueprints I was able to create a prefab of all the assets from a pack and condense them into a single asset. The mesh was changed by a slider as was the decorations, and a Boolean to say if it was empty or full. I'm not sure what this could be used for in the future but I suspect it could help to cut down on memory use at runtime.

Post Process Outline
This surprisingly turned out to be far more difficult than I originally imagined, luckily there was 1 YouTube video that I could understand. Essentially using an object channel and post process I assigned an outline with an emissive green material to highlight objects of interest.

Character Selection
This is an example of my first attempt at character selection to be used in the untitled magic game however this feature was later scrapped as I think my entire approach was wrong and ultimately was not needed for the game.
